The short answer

What social proof notifications do on a webinar page

Definition

A social proof notification is a small widget that shows visitors what other people are really doing (registering, reviewing, watching) or gives them one clear next step. On a webinar page it answers the visitor's quiet question: is this worth an hour of my time?

House rule

Only show what is true

Use counters and recent-activity widgets for real registrations and real reviews. If you do not have the numbers yet, use a host video, an agenda announcement or a real deadline countdown instead. Fake scarcity costs trust and can fall foul of advertising rules; honest proof keeps working launch after launch.

  1. Host video on the registration page

A video modal or bubble with a one-minute "here is what you will learn" from the host, placed beside the form.

  2. A real deadline on the replay page

A countdown collector for the moment the replay comes down, with a short form for people who want a reminder.

  3. Reviews from past attendees

A review card or rating summary from genuine reviews, so new visitors see what the last cohort thought.

  3. Customize in the live editor

Log in, pick a theme, login design, menus, dashboard and widgets, and watch every change on a live preview before anything reaches your clients.

  4. Paste one line into GoHighLevel

FAQ

Notification questions

What the widgets show, how to keep them honest, and which package includes them.

What are social proof notifications for GoHighLevel?
They are small on-page widgets (recent sign-ups, live counters, reviews, video bubbles, countdowns and more) that you switch on from your customizer account. There are 94 templates across 32 types, and they run on GoHighLevel funnels and on your own websites.
Which package includes notifications?
Notifications and social proof are part of Main Event ($997 one-time), with up to 15 notifications live at once. The same package adds popups, calculators, floating widgets and white-label branding.
Do the counters show real numbers?
They should, and that is how we recommend using them. Point conversion and counter widgets at real activity, or use announcement and video types instead. Invented "47 people are watching" numbers mislead visitors and can breach consumer-protection and advertising rules, so the responsibility for what a widget claims stays with the site owner.
Can I show a countdown to the webinar start?
Yes. The countdown collector and countdown call-to-action types show a timer next to a short form or button, which suits "starts Thursday at 2pm" or "replay comes down at midnight". Use a real deadline: a timer that resets for every visitor is the same honesty problem as a fake counter.
What does the video modal template do?
It opens a short video in a framed modal on top of the page, with a headline and a button underneath. On a webinar registration page it works well for a 60-second host introduction that answers "is this session for me?" before the visitor registers.
Why is there a limit of 15 live notifications?
It keeps pages calm and the account fair to run. Saved templates are limited only by your template allowance; up to 15 can be live at the same time on Main Event. Most registration pages need one or two at most.
Do notifications work inside GoHighLevel as well as on websites?
They are designed mainly for public pages: funnels, websites, registration and replay pages. For messages to logged-in GoHighLevel users, the in-app popup templates are the better fit.
Where do form submissions from a notification go?
On Main Event, lead-capture widgets can send their submissions into GoHighLevel, so a countdown collector sign-up lands as a contact your existing webinar workflows can pick up. Nothing is sent from the preview on this page.
Will notifications distract from the registration form?
They can if you stack them. A good rule is one notification per page, placed away from the form, appearing after a few seconds. The editor lets you set position and delay for each one.
